We're excited to welcome you to the Columbia Icefield. Ahead of your visit, we have some tips, recommendations and essential information for making the most of your time.

What You Need to Know
Plan on arriving onsite at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time. The tour departure line is located on the main floor of the Glacier Discovery Centre adjacent to the main ticket desk. Please note that you must arrive at the boarding hall at least 15 minutes prior to your departure time to check in with your ticket.
Temperatures are a few degrees cooler while on the glacier, so we suggest dressing in layers for your visit. Flat, comfortable shoes with grippy soles are highly recommended as well as sunscreen and sunglasses to reduce the glare of the sun off the glacier.
